About Me
Action-oriented, I make it happen for you. I listen. I take the time to discover your needs and desires and then I take strategic and decisive action to find the property you want to acquire or the buyer who would purchase your home or investment property at the right price. I not only do my due diligence every step of the way on this journey with you, I aim to be there as a strong and supportive presence for you throughout the process. Buying and selling real estate can be a very stressful experience but it does not have to be. My goal is to make the experience a pleasant one for you.
My almost two decades in the industry, coupled with my passion for excellence, provide you with the consummate professionalism that you seek in a realtor.
My professional resume includes an advanced degree at the Master of Arts level with a major in English Literature, several years of distinguished service as the principal of an insurance agency as well as time well spent as an English and Drama school teacher, prior to my stepping into the exciting world of business. I ventured into the business landscape as a licensed insurance agent with Metropolitan Life. After three years as a captive agent of that prestigious company, I decided to become an independent agent for several major insurance companies, eventually having my hard work rewarded with appointments as a General Agent and Managing General Agent. Taking the step towards selling real estate was a seamless process since my large base of financial services clients naturally turned to me for their real estate acquisition needs as well. Real estate is still one of the best ways of accumulating wealth and the partnership between my financial and my real estate services has been a great way to serve the community.
I live in greater Los Angeles where I raised my son, Douglas, and where I have grown in knowledge, expertise and wisdom since I immigrated here from the Philippines in 1981. When I am not working, I enjoy reading and going to the theater, both the cinema and live theatrical productions. My favorite TV shows are Homeland, Billions and Chance. I also dance the tango, paint sometimes and write poetry and prose. I often burn the midnight candle working on a historical novel which I hope to publish at the end of this year.
In the early evenings or the weekends, you may often find me at the neighborhood organic grocery, shopping for kale and honey crisp apples, doing the warrior pose at a yoga class, or volunteering in a community soup kitchen in the early evenings or weekends. If you do, be sure to say hello because I would love to connect and bond with you on both a personal and professional level. Most especially, I would like to tell you about trends in the local real estate market and possibly help you buy your first home, upgrade to a better one in a preferred neighborhood, acquire a vacation home at a destination place, or maybe even a multi-unit building to be added to your growing portfolio of investments.
